Magali obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Special Distinction (Political Science and Sociology) in 1992 from the University of Oklahoma, United States of America. In 1995, she obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.) (Upper Second Class) from the University of the West Indies, and, in 1997, she obtained the Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica, and was awarded the Belize Bar Association Prize for most outstanding Belizean student (1997). She was elevated to the rank of Senior Counsel in January, 2014.
Magali worked at the law firm of Barrow & Williams from 1997 to 2008, where she garnered experience in both commercial practice and litigation. She left to practice as a sole practitioner in 2008 and has now developed the law firm of Marin Young & Co LLP, which provides a wide range of legal services including both commercial practice and civil litigation practice.
Magali has also amassed a wealth of experience in litigation, both as lead counsel and co-counsel, including complex local and international receivership and liquidation litigation; landmark constitutional and public law cases (including human rights and environmental law challenges); real estate litigation; divorce and matrimonial property law cases; and fraud and insurance cases. She has developed a reputation for competence, tenacity, and integrity.
From November 16, 2020 to June 30, 2023, she was appointed and served the country of Belize as the Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs of Belize, where she was able to accomplish major judicial and legislative reforms within the short period during her appointment. Magali is now back in private practice.

Allister has developed a reputation for being very hardworking, responsive, and driven. He has been successful before the High Court and the Court of Appeal of Belize.
Allister was born in Dangriga, Stann Creek, Belize. In 2014, he obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B Hons) from the University of the West Indies Cavehill Campus, where he was also awarded the Sir Gaston Johnson Memorial Prize for the best performance in Criminal Law. In 2016, he obtained the Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica and was awarded the Course Director’s and the Chief Justice’s prize for the best performance in the Law of Evidence.
Allister joined the firm of Magali Marin Young & Co, now known as Marin Young & Co LLP, in June of 2016 and was called to the Bar of Belize in October, 2016. He was admitted as a partner to Marin Young & Co LLP in 2020.

Kristy was born in Belize City, Belize. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B Hons) from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in 2021, and concluded her studies at the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica, where she was placed on the Principal’s Roll of Honour and received her Legal Education Certificate (LEC) in 2023.
During her tenure at Norman Manley Law School, she was awarded the Michael March Memorial Prize for the best performance in Law of Remedies and the Kelsick, Wilkin & Ferdinand Prize awarded to the best overall overseas student over two years.
